Position:                          PATHOLOGIST

Job Site and Interview:                 Tempe, Arizona

Responsibilities:                       

Perform diagnostic procedures on patients such as bone marrow aspirations and biopsies or frozen section diagnosis; Perform anatomic pathology involving the diagnosis of surgical specimens and cytology patient specimens; Perform flow cytometry analysis and fluorescent in- situ hybridization analysis. Conduct autopsies and provide secondary opinions to fellow pathologists; Perform clinical pathology duties including evaluation and consultation of laboratory data; Assist in laboratory medical direction of contracted medical facilities and on call responsibilities which may incorporate any of the above disciplines. Supervision of six pathologists’ assistants.      

Must work on "on call" basis.  Min. 40 hrs/wk. and travel monthly to rural areas for 1 to 2 days. Must work independently when in rural setting. 

Education/Experience Requirements:                       

Medical degree or foreign equivalent in Pathology, passed Clinical, Anatomical and Hematopathology boards, possess Surgical and Hematopathology Fellowship and Arizona Medical License.  Must have two years experience in Hematopathology.
